Location: Cary, NC

Pay: $21-$25/hour depending on experience

This is a temp-to-hire, full-time position. A great personality and the ability/willingness to cross-sell products and services is required. We are also looking for candidates who are detail oriented and professional.

Below you will find a summary of the basic job duties:

· Basic Teller Duties

  • Accept deposits and cash member checks. Determine length of check holds and sufficiency of funds in members' accounts.
  • Disburse withdrawals from members' accounts after verifying the identity of the person receiving proceeds and keying the transaction.
  • Process line-of-credit advances, Visa payments, advances, and other loan payments.

· Cross-sell credit union products, services, and loans.

· Crosstrain to become a Member Services Representative which includes, but not limited to, opening and maintaining accounts, accepting loan applications, answering calls in a phone queue, and helping members with account questions and problems.

· Provide information and answer questions in person, through written correspondence, via e-mail, and over the telephone for members and potential members.

Requirements:

· At least 1 year of teller experience as a teller in a retail banking environment is required. We need someone with banking knowledge.

· Credit Union experience is a plus.

· Account opening experience is a plus.

· A great personality and the ability or willingness to cross-sell products and services is required.

· Strong attention to detail and a professional, team-oriented attitude is required.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills is required.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
